Grinders at FamiLAB:

Location: Workbench at back of machine shop

Bench Grinder

This bench grinder has abrasive wheels on it for grinding steel and other hard materials. Do NOT use plastic, aluminum, brass, or copper on it!! Use a belt sander for those.

Finishing Grinder

This grinder has a polishing wheel and a scotch-brite wheel on it for making parts shiny and deburring. Please be nice to it, the scotch-brite wheels are expensive and the polishing wheels are relatively fragile.
