I have a bunch of experience building web applications and in information security. specifically secure coding and testing. I just enjoy learning and building things, which is why I'm so enthusiastic about FamiLAB. It isn't about Arduino or 555 timers so much as continuous development of my own knowledge -- and the knowledge of others. What we do at the lab is so important to STEM education and cultivating the excellent community of makers, hackers, and curious bystanders here in Orlando. Let's work together and make something.

Former President, former Classes & Events Director, and mother of one. Currently looking for new ways to add value and help out the lab. Recently participated with a team of awesome hackers in the NBCUinnovation hackathon that took home $1500 and prizes. Also acting as liaison to the security community including DC407, OWASP Orlando, and Security BSides Orlando. On occasion I get contacted directly about outreach events and try to set us up to participate again. (I really like setting those events up. Seriously. If you *want* to go to an event and show off the lab to potential new members and family, let me know.)

Background

My background is heavy on application development and penetration testing (Information Security).

FamiLAB Duties

I help manage the content out on FamiLAB.org including blog posts, pages, and other updates. I'm also helping out with the classroom renovation when I can. Mostly, though, I help keep things sane and enjoyable by being a constant.
