The next scheduled LAN Party is Saturday, May 6th 2017 at 4PM
Approximately every other month some members gather at the lab for a good ol' fashioned LAN Party. Internet speeds may be exponentially faster than they were a decade ago, but there's still nothing quite like being in a room full of gamers all playing together.

"To Bring" List
Recommended
- PC
- Desktop, Laptop, whatever you have. We won't judge.
- Monitor
- Ethernet Cable
- While we do have a fast wireless network, you'll get a better connection with less latency using our wired ethernet network
- Power Cables
- Power Strip
- There are outlets galore, but sometimes you're just one short.
- Keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals
- gamepads, trackballs, joysticks, whatever floats your boat
- Food, Snacks, Drinks
- We have a vending machine stocked with BAWLS, other soda, and snacks; but you are more than welcome to bring your own.
Optional
- Console
- Want to throw down in Smash Bros or get some split-screen fun in? Go ahead and bring it! (Also, we do have several consoles for use in the Lobby)
- Television
- Something to plug your console into
- Console games
- Gotta have the games to play, too.
- OS disc/usb drive
- There's always "that guy" at a LAN party that needs to reformat their machine. Sometimes "that guy" is you.

Patches and links to get games up and running for the party
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
The first Call of Duty game not set during World War 2. We occasionally use a mod that adds bots to the game for a fun and crazy experience.
(Insert bot mod link)
Command and Conquer: The First Decade
The First Decade is a culmination of Westwood Studio's Command and Conquer Series, ending with their last game, Generals, finished after EA bought their studio. It includes:
- Command and Conquer
- Command and Conquer: Red Alert
- Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun
- Command and Conquer: Renegade
- Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2
- Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 - Yuri's Revenge
- Command and Conquer: Generals

TFD Patch
We use an unofficial patch to bring all of the games up to date for multiplayer. The current version we use is TFD-1.03-Rev4
Red Alert 2
We highly recommend The First Decade over the Origin Ultimate Collection, but we will work to ensure everyone can play together.
Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory
An open-source freeware Activision game released in 2003. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
StarCraft
Original version now free!
