We are the FamiLAB, a North-Orlando Hackerspace.
We are a group of people, 'hackers', who enjoy playing with technology. Separately, we want a place to hang out (besides mom's basement) where we are free to toy with these things, and not worry about unfounded fears the media propagates about hacking. Together, we can afford a really cool space with otherwise unobtainable equipment, and share ideas, creations, and stuff.

Current News
- We have procured a second small space to put the laser cutter into as well as for some overflow space. After moving a lot of stuff out of the main lab, we have the room to hold a somewhat decently-sized get-together and things are going well!
- Ian and Mack have worked hard to get the complex to install a new, larger, better-er A/C unit for us, so now the lab stays at a pleasant 80 degrees! We can actually use it during the hot summer!
- We are getting together info on a SMD soldering class to test the waters on how we'd like to run one.
