The sandblaster cabinet is in the Metal Shop. It is a Zero Blast-N-Peen (Clemco model NP 55-2 Suction Blast Cabinet). It can clean, peen, deburr, or finish parts. The enclosure measures 42 inches by 22 inches by 28 inches high. The system includes a reclaimer and dry filter. (Shown with optional table/tray on internal track and dry filter dust collector. Also available with optional reverse-pulse dust collector.) There is also a smaller ALC sandblaster.
Other Blast Cabinet
A smaller blast cabinet we have is an ALC Top-Open Benchtop Abrasive Blast Cabinet (model 41389). Carlos donated it to FamiLAB. It can deburr metal parts and strip paint, rust, and other coatings. We have a bag of medium grit media, but we should pick up some fine and coarse media as well.
